If you would like me to analyze your personal or business tax planning options, simply e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. With a few e-mails back and forth or with a five minute phone call, I can figure out your options.
Let me ask you this question: Does your current advisor or team of advisors know the following concepts?
-The Super 401(k) Plan (combo/carve out plan)
-Why Section 79 Plans are bad
-Why VEBAs/419 Plans are bad
What do most advisors know? IRAs, 401(k) plans, defined benefit plans, maybe cash balance plans.
In my opinion, that’s not good enough to give client the tax planning advice they need.
Once you know “all” of the viable and available tax planning tools, telling someone their options and making a recommendation that is best for them is easy.
What do I charge for a free analysis? Nothing it’s free.
Why do I do them for free? Two reasons (one self-serving).
1) I am always interested in making sure consumer don’t get scammed or put into plans that don’t make economic sense or what’s worse, plans that will get them in trouble with the IRS.
2) Once I give you my opinion, there is about a 90% likelihood that you’ll want my help implementing a plan for you. While I don’t take on clients these days, I do refer them out to advisors I’ve trained and work with around the country.
